Our partner, Yachtsportverband Österreich, takes care of all examinations. It is an examination board which is set up by the Austrian Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology and is therefore qualified to conduct competency-based examinations, with regard to managing sailing and motor yachts at sea, for FB courses 1-4.
The certificates of competency issued by Yachtsportverband Österreich are the basis for the issuance of international certificates by via-donau in Vienna – as per recommendations from the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) in the context of Resolution no. 40 of 16. October 1998 (Maritime Code [SeeSchFG] § 15 Para. 1).
One special benefit of Yachtsportverband Österreich is the client-friendly logistics, since all course participants can take examinations immediately upon completion of a course. The examiners at Yachtsportverband Österreich are on site right through from April to October, and are therefore fully flexible.
